Members of the IW Creative Network are invited to apply for special opportunities to help develop their creative practice. This year we have already delivered special opportunities which include 121 Creative Business Mentoring, Photo shoots and 121 Creative Portfolio Advice sessions.
We’re very happy to announce more 121 Creative Portfolio Advice sessions are now available with Arts Advisor, Alys Scott Hawkins!

All members can apply and it doesn’t matter if you gained special opportunities earlier this year or last year.
Please note, numbers for this special opportunity are limited to x12 people and are selected by the IW Creative Network Advisory Panel based on the needs of each individual artist/creative by the information provided.

1-2-1 Creative Portfolio Advice with Alys Scott Hawkins:
Arts Advisor Alys Scott Hawkins will provide 1-2-1 ad hoc Creative Portfolio Advice in Sep/Oct/Nov 2023, for those that need support in developing their portfolios or requiring guidance in arts funding applications.
12 places are available and will be conducted via Zoom (or online meeting tool of your choosing) or in-person on the IW (bear in mind these spaces are limited). (Dates/times to be arranged with creatives based on selected dates when you apply). Sessions will last x2 hours each, giving artists advice on their portfolios, current ideas or ways to progress in their field of work.
Alys is a specialist in Artist Support, providing guidance and advice to overcome barriers, plan projects and make funding applications. Previously she led the Artist Development programme at ‘a space’ arts, Southampton, drawing on her long-standing networks within the arts sector across the region.
Alys is also an artist who works with drawing and animation. Her work has been exhibited internationally and won several awards. She has worked as a freelancer, and run her own creative business making films for clients including broadcast TV. She has taught at universities in London and the South West. Alys draws together all these experiences to provide one-to-one support for creative practitioners working across the visual & performing arts.
