Quay Arts, Newport: Thursday 5 October 6-8pm
A chance for members and non network members to get together and find out about exhibiting opportunities at Quay Arts with Visual Arts Manager Ian Whitmore, and find out about tutor recruitment and potential shadowing.
Aimed to be relaxed and informal, this event will have some guided chit-chat on what we can do collectively as a creative community, to help foster more exciting cultural opportunities for all on the Isle of Wight.
On show during our visit will be ‘2023 OPEN Exhibition’, with the theme of sculpture – featuring pieces by many network members. Also on show is a micro-installation ‘Olivia’ by network members Teresa Grimaldi and Sarah Vardy – the work re-tells the extraordinary life of Miss Parkes, who lived in Ventnor for almost 40 years in a dilapidated boathouse held up by stilts. And don’t miss their related Photographic exhibition by Samuel French in the Cafe!
The bar will be open and some light refreshments will be provided.
