Profile

Emma Elobeid

Literature

Emma Elobeid is a multi-award-shortlisted writer and emerging poet

I'm a writer, editor, and all-round storyteller. Most recently, as Senior Editor at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, I created multi-format narratives that help accelerate the global transition to a circular economy. In 2023, my climate journalism was recognised by the Association of British Science Writers Awards for its “distinctive and accessible style of conveying complex information.”

Increasingly, I also write poetry!

What started as a fun way of getting through lockdown V1 has blossomed into an emerging creative secondlife. My work has been published in Dublin-based publications Not4U, the Madrigal, and Martello Journal, and more. In 2025, my poem 'I am told' (after Fran Lock) was Highly Commended in the Kathryn Bevis Memorial Prize. I'm also a member of the Ventnor Exchange Spoken Word Collective (VEX).
