Fran Farrar’s work revolves around concepts of time, memory and ancestry. She uses a combination of traditional printmaking methods to interpret intimate emotional concepts through abstracted imagery. Fran is interested in an historic continuum, diarizing her own memories in conjunction with those of the natural and built environment. She returns repeatedly to a vocabulary of specific mark making, adjusting and refining, to explore line, light and texture.
Fran regularly exhibits nationally, exhibitions include RWA; Tarpey Gallery; Quay Arts, IOW; Cupola Gallery, Sheffield and RBSA. She lives and works on the Island.
