Creative Production

Chef, writer, and creator of a new podcast. All about the wonderful people who are producing great food and drink, and the wider hospitality sector here on the Isle of Wight!

As The Island Chef, I've established a significant digital presence rooted in my passion for the Isle of Wight's food and drink scene. I perform cookery demonstrations at festivals and shows, including the Great Wight Bite.

My creative output includes the Food and Music IOW podcast, through which I share my discoveries about local food producers. I'm currently updating the format of the podcast and combining it with my Substack newsletter, A View from the Kitchen (aviewfromthekitchen.substack.com), aiming to connect with more listeners and readers to share my enthusiasm for the island's culinary offerings.

Beyond my podcasting activities, I am a member of the Guild of Food Writers and the Royal Photographic Society. I am developing my photography skills to capture the culinary developments on the island through images as well as words. I also assist chefs and writers with recipe development, creating simple and accessible recipes that emphasise fresh, local ingredients and promote healthier eating. Furthermore, I regularly share my cookery passions on the island radio station Vectis. I am also part of the editorial team for the Royal Solent Yacht Club, writing and editing content.

In my past career, I marketed software and programmes across Europe and the Middle East and have significant experience in web content development, copywriting, design, and events.

My website, TheIslandChef.co.uk, includes cookery demonstrations, recipes, podcast updates, and more. My work across these digital mediums reflects my dedication to "sharing a passion for food!".
