Sean is a designer and art director for theatre, film and festivals. He trained at Motley, Covent Garden in 2006. Recent design projects include: ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, in production London August 2022, and ‘Ghostbusters, The Gates of Gozer’ with Secret Cinema. ‘The Fame Factory’, with Done +Dusted in Saudi Arabia & in development for Las Vegas. Sean is currently designing Dopamine Land, an immersive experience opening in European cities in 2024. .
Sean is designing areas for a new venue opening in Waterloo with production company Labyrinth (Les Enfants Terribles). Previous design work with Les Enfants include ‘The Sound Affect’ a production in association with Ikea & Mother UK. He was also the associate designer for the international transfer to Shanghai of ‘Alice’s Adventures Underground’.
Sean worked as in-house designer for MAMA Festivals & Live Nation, 2017-2019, designing stages and areas for Wilderness, The Great Escape, and Lovebox festivals.
Sean designed many productions with Punchdrunk Enrichment including The House Where Winter Lives, originally staged in Stratford, London – which transferred to the Perth International Arts Festival.
Sean is the associate designer for immersive theatre company LAStheatre, creators of the multidisciplinary science/art series ‘The Enlightenment Café’. Production credits for LAS theatre include: ‘New Atlantis’, ‘Deadinburgh’, ‘The Astronomers Story’, ‘Hweol’ (Kew Gardens), ‘The Institute Of Impossibility’, and ‘Story Storage’ – a design for the Children's Book Expo in Beijing.
Sean also designed the ongoing tour of ‘The Rascally Diner’ and ‘The Lion Inside’ for LAStheatre; both productions developed during the pandemic to reach family audiences across the country.
Other recent design credits include ‘The Planets’ presented by Professor Brian Cox, streamed live on BBC Radio 3, aired on BBC 2, and performed at the Barbican. ‘Grumpy Old Women to The Rescue’ – an Avlon National tour written & starring Jenny Eclair.
Opera design credits include ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’ Opera Holland Park. ‘The Barber of Seville’, Charles Court Opera. ‘Cinderella’ Black Heath Hall. ‘A Trip To The Moon’ Barbican Concert Hall.
