IW Creative Network are an Independent Theatre Council Hub member. This means any members of the IW Creative Network can apply to be ITC hub associates.
Being an ITC hub associate is open to newly formed performing arts companies and producers with very low turnover. It allows you to access to some of ITC services as you are developing your work. Once you/your company get to a higher turnover and need more support, you can become a full member, and ITC offer a 20% discount off your first year.
Why be an ITC hub associate?
It all started in October 2023 we convened a meeting at the Apollo Theatre in Newport with many of the Island’s theatre companies to start a conversation about their work and ambitions. What emerged was this idea of an Island theatre community or network which might allow for greater collaboration, sharing of knowledge, skills development, and mutual support.
Since that meeting, we have negotiated a membership on behalf of the islands theatre sector with the Independent Theatre Council. This means that any IW based theatre company that joins our IW Creative Network will have access to ITC’s legal, managerial, and financial advice, access to training at member rates, industry conferences, DBS checks, etc.
As well as being a powerful and independent voice for the performing arts ITC has many practical benefits to offer:
- Free advice & guidance on legal, financial and management issues. (Complex issues may need full membership.)
- Substantial discounts on ITC Training and events.
- Access to a wide range of online resources that include legal advice and template contracts.
- Invitations to events, networking, and peer learning opportunities: including a national conference each year and a range of free forums.
- ITC’s regular e-newsletter Members Matters.
- Discounts on insurance packages created for the sector by Wrightsure
To apply, just fill in ITC’s registration form, stating you are a member of the IW Creative Network: https://www.itc-arts.org/become-a-member/
