Quay Arts, Newport
Book via Quay Arts website
Founded in October 1913, The London Group are the UK’s longest-running and most prestigious artists’ collective. This year they celebrate their 110th anniversary since their first exhibition at the Grafton Gallery in March 1914. Their exhibition ‘111 Not Out’ currently on at Quay Arts, shows each participating member commending one of the 32 founding members that most appeals to them in terms of personality and art practice. This is shown through a QR code and short explanatory text alongside their work.
At this Q&A event, participating artist and curator Tim Craven will talk about the history of The London Group and be joined by participating artists to talk about their career pathways and a chance for audiences to ask questions. A brief networking opportunity will follow in the gallery after the talks.
