The White Pube (a little pun on the contemporary art gallery – The White Cube!) is the collaborative identity of Gabrielle de la Puente and Zarina Muhammad under which they write about art, video games, books, food, life and even the weather. Born out of frustration from reading art reviews that didn’t relate to them or that they found interesting, they decided to do something about it.
The White Pube is fast becoming one of the most popular social media sites for visual artists.
They publish a new text every Sunday, which also goes out as audio on their Podcast. Besides the writing and the podcast, they also run a very useful Successful Funding Application Library which includes (you guessed it!) successful funding applications made by creatives working in various disciplines to Arts Council England’s Project Grants and Developing Your Creative Practice grants.
