IW Creative Network is delighted to welcome Visual Arts South West (VASW) to the Isle of Wight for an informal evening of conversation, insight and networking.

Join VASW Co-Directors Lucy Badrocke and Hannah Rose as they share updates on the organisation’s work across the South West, including current opportunities for artists, future plans for the region and details of VASW’s upcoming website relaunch.
As the regional development organisation for the visual arts, VASW supports artists, curators, producers and arts organisations through advocacy, networking, professional development and sector leadership. This is an opportunity to learn more about their work, ask questions, share experiences and connect with fellow creatives from across the Island.

Visual Arts South West (VASW) is the regional development organisation for the visual arts in the South West of England, including the Isle of Wight.

Arrive early to network informally and explore Quay Arts’ current exhibitions before the presentation begins.
Current exhibitions include:
‘Retrospectrum’ – a showcase of multidisciplinary work by writer and artist Fran Heath (Clayden Gallery)
‘Isle of Wight College Creative Industries Showcase’ – an end-of-year exhibition featuring work from nearly 100 emerging young artists across a range of disciplines (West Gallery)
7.00pm – VASW Presentation and Q&A
8.30pm – Close

Getting there:
Please use the side terrace entrance. Parking is available in nearby car parks on Sea Street and Little London Road. Newport Bus Station is approximately a five-minute walk from the venue, with regular services from across the Island.
