Emma Elobeid

Literature

Emma Elobeid is a solutions journalist, climate editor, and emerging poet

In her day job at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Emma writes about circular economy solutions to global challenges like climate change and biodiversity loss. She has a diverse publishing background, a Master's Degree in Journalism, and has championed the Island's creative talent as ex-Editor of Style of Wight Magazine. Following the publication of her hyperlocal investigation A Porpoise Named Peppa, she is keen to pursue more climate and coastal community journalism.

Emma is also an emerging poet. Her first 'proper' poem – Banana Bread Economics – was published in Dublin based Not4U collective’s pandemic themed zine ‘From Home’. More recently, she collaborated with award-winning photographer Vincent Dupont-Blackshaw on 'Degrees of Separation'; a collection of interpretive haiku which weave together art, photography, and poetry. As she develops her creative practice, Emma intends to further pursue personal overlaps; from the mycorrhizas of motherhood to the connections between coast, climate, and circularity.
